Minister Porter was born in Scarborough District, St. Ann Jamaica West Indies. He migrated to Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A in 1988. He attended Boys & Girls High School and graduated in 1990. Minister Porter pursued a degree at Dowling College in Aeronautics & Applied Mathematics. Upon completion of his studies at Dowling College, he decided to shift careers from a pilot to a High School math teacher.

Minister Porter worked at several Public Schools in Brooklyn New York as a math teacher. During this time, he met and married his ambitious and beautiful wife Maxine who helped him tremendously in the teaching profession. They have been married for 21 years and have been blessed with two beautiful and intelligent daughters Katrina and Jazmyn.

Minister Porter served as an elder, deacon and choir member at the Bedford Central Presbyterian church in Brooklyn for many years before relocating to Dover Delaware in 2003. Minister Porter began to serve passionately at Pentecostal Family Church shortly after his move to Dover. He taught Sunday School, Lead the youth group and Men’s Ministry and is currently serving as Assistant Pastor and Church Administrator.

Minister Porter is currently teaching Mathematics at the Laurel School District in Laurel Delaware. There, he exposes his proud Jamaican culture to his students and co-workers

He loves to spend time with family and friends playing board games of which his favorite is dominoes.  He loves to sing, watch soccer, travel, cook, and see people get excited about building the kingdom of God. His greatest goal is to see his family, church family, friends, students and co-workers come to know Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOR.

Minister Porter have been raised in a Christian home from birth. He is proud and grateful for his late grandmother who showed him the way to salvation in Jesus Christ. He first committed his heart to the Lord after migrating to the U.S and never looked back. Minister Porter often testify that it was his devotion to God and study of his word that taught him to be a father and a husband.
