Minister Colette Powell was born in Jamaica West Indies. This is where her love for helping others through God began. Ms. Lecia Campbell (mother of Minster Colette and her four siblings) ensure that her children knew the love of God. Colette attended Sunday school at Paisley Pentecostal Church, in Clarendon Jamaica and eventually became a Sunday school teacher at the tender age of 13. Taking on this position in the church, allowed her natural abilities to strengthen and 3 years later Colette became the Assistant Youth President.

Seven years later, Minister Colette, and Bishop Glen Roy Powell married and she continued to work in ministry with her spouse. Immigrating to the United States, Minister Colette continued to use her talents to help others by furthering her education at multiple institutions.  Delaware Technical Community College where she obtained an Associate’s degree in Human Services and Drug and Alcohol Counseling, and Wilmington University with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science numerous certifications in child advocacy.

Minister’s Colette love for God, and helping others continued to grow and she channeled this into completing Christian Mental Health Coaching awarded from Light University, along with Ministry Credentialing from the PCG organization. Currently Minister Colette serves as the Women’s Director of the North East District.

Minister Colette continues to be an epitome for the North East District by dedicating her to continue the work of God.  She currently resides in Dover, Delaware with her spouse Bishop Dr. Glenroy Powell, and their amazing daughter Janae Powell.
